Padel courts, answered honestly.
The questions we hear most often from landowners, clubs and operators thinking about building a padel court in the UK.
How much does it cost to build a padel court in the UK?
+
Costs vary widely depending on site conditions, court spec, groundworks, lighting and whether you're going indoor or outdoor. As a rough guide, a single outdoor court built to a proper commercial spec typically lands in a mid five-figure to low six-figure range once base, structure, surface and lighting are included. Multi-court and indoor projects scale accordingly. A Site Feasibility Review gives you a realistic, project-specific number.
Do I need planning permission for a padel court?
+
It depends on the site, the location and the structure. Outdoor courts on existing sports sites are often more straightforward; indoor structures, courts in residential settings or sensitive locations usually need formal planning. We'll assess your planning context during feasibility and tell you what's likely to be required.
How long does a padel court take to build?
+
Once on site, a single outdoor court is typically a matter of weeks. The longer parts of the timeline are usually planning, lead times on the court itself, and any structural design or groundworks. A realistic end-to-end timeline from first conversation to live courts is normally three to six months.
Indoor or outdoor — which should I build?
+
Outdoor is cheaper to deliver but loses playing hours to weather and daylight. Indoor or covered courts cost more up front but unlock year-round, all-weather revenue. The right answer depends on your business model and your members. We'll walk you through the trade-offs honestly.
Which padel court brand do you supply?
+
Several. We're deliberately manufacturer-agnostic and work with the established padel court brands we trust. The right brand depends on your site, spec and budget — and we'll recommend the one we'd put on the project if it were ours.
Do you do groundworks, or just install the courts?
+
Groundworks is our background. We've been doing it on UK sites for over twenty years. We can deliver groundworks as a standalone package, as part of a turnkey build, or alongside other contractors when needed.
Can you maintain or repair a court you didn't build?
+
Yes. We service and repair courts across the UK regardless of original installer — replacement turf, replacement glass, netting, structural fixes and scheduled servicing.
What does a Site Feasibility Review involve?
+
A site visit, a proper look at the ground, drainage and access, indicative CAD layouts, a planning steer, an honest cost range and a written report. It's the single best first step in any padel project.
